Q

lihgtbulb asked:

the women on my mom's side of my family, including me, have this thing where street lamps turn off or on when they walk under them. is that common?

A

sixpenceee:

that reminds me of this case where a girl was having such a bad day. she came home at the microwave wouldn’t turn on, but when her room mate touched it, it was fine. the same thing happened to her radio & her phone. but again when her room mate touched the same objects, they worked perfectly fine

ofcourse there’s nothing scientific (just yet) behind these events, but I have heard of them.

If you take a young man and woman and they both tell a stranger that they work in the same restaurant, it’s very likely that they will assume that the woman is the waitress, and the young man a cook.

But I thought a woman’s place was in the kitchen? Not when she’s being paid for it. I can’t believe it took me this long to realize the implication of this. A woman’s place is one of servitude.
